This bottle of single malt whiskey from “Old Bushmills”, the oldest licensed distillery in the world, offers a unique taste experience.
Maturation in a single Bourbon cask since 1982 has allowed this triple-distilled malt whiskey to develop to perfection. While external primeval influences surround the maturation of this malt; the Atlantic Ocean, the basalt Giant’s Causeway and the monastic-sounding waters of St. Columb’s Rill, Masters of Malt oversee its development within the distillery.
Straight from the wood at cask strength, nosing and tasting become true celebrations for the senses. Share the experience with a fellow-taster.
First nose and taste the malt at cask strength. The combination of triple-distillation and ageing over 2 decades make this a pleasant experience.

Then add a little water to uncover the honeyed maltiness and gentle woodiness which are laced with dark chocolate and vanilla. Above all, the taste is clean and mellow and underneath you will also discover an array of complexity including marzipan, allspice, walnut, mint and sweet oils.
The characteristic dry maltiness of the Bushmills finish is enhanced by the complexity resulting from years of maturation in this unique oak cask. The aftertaste is long and enjoyable.
